Ta’meem ladies crowned champions

Ta’meem handball ladies were crowned champions of the Republic Championship beating Baghdad 13-5 in the final.

Ta’meem advanced to the final after a series of good wins over teams of saladdin, Babil, and Anbar while Baghdad made it to the final after beating Ta’meem and Babil. The match started with both teams exchanging a series of accurate crosses to reach the points for an early lead. Ta’meem intensified attacks in the mid of the first half which ended in their favor with a 6-3 lead.

In the second period, Ta’meem ladies went on dominating play and managed to widen the gap with Wesan Adnan and Shereen Adnan put distinguished display and had the upper hand in raising their team’s tally.

At the end of the contest, Wesan was named best goalie while veteran IntiDhar Jum’a of Baghdad was named best player.
